Senior executive and CRO with extensive experience in corporate restructuring.
Jasper has led numerous restructurings as executive and non-executive, after a long career in banking. He combines a strong financial and governance background with a pragmatic, people-oriented approach in difficult situations.
Jasper’s energy comes from an instinctive drive to improve performance and fix what is broken. He solves strategic challenges in a pragmatic way. He quickly oversees the playing field, identifies key issues and stakeholders, and acts accordingly. He sets the agenda and gets to the point – without the chitchat, but with a human touch. He is used to managing multinational operations.
Before founding Brave Capital Solutions, Jasper held various managerial positions at ABN AMRO Bank, including CEO of IFN Group, Deputy Head for the Dutch corporate market, CEO Retail NL and member of the executive committee NL. After leaving ABN AMRO in 2009, he moved into the restructuring market and has since been involved in some 30 turnarounds, predominantly acting as CEO/Managing Director with end responsibility.
Jasper also acts – mostly at the request of private equity firms and banks – as advisor to the board in complex restructurings. In recent years, his activities have taken place in Europe (mainly the Dutch and Belgian markets), China, the United States and South America, across multiple sectors. Jasper holds a master’s degree in business economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (1986).

CFO/CRO with deep credit, cash flow and restructuring experience.
Jan has worked across the full credit lifecycle: from originating leveraged finance to managing non-performing assets and wind-downs. He brings a rigorous financial approach, combined with an ability to translate complexity into clear decisions.
Jan has an eagerness to improve and optimise finance and operations, based on robust technical analysis. He is skilled and experienced in unravelling complex financial and credit issues, assessing and improving cashflow forecasting, and preparing financial reporting in distressed situations. He works in a structured, pragmatic and cooperative manner: with an eye for detail, while keeping focus on the bigger picture. He builds bridges between stakeholders with conflicting positions.
Jan started his career at a corporate finance boutique, where he was involved in M&A, business valuations and MBOs of midcaps. After moving to Bank of Scotland he focused on arranging, structuring and financing leveraged buy-outs. Together with three colleagues he established the Dutch branch of Icelandic bank Landsbanki and was made responsible for its controlled wind-down, including complex (cross-border) restructurings of syndicated loans.
Jan now acts as CFO, or supports CFOs, in restructuring situations. He holds a master’s degree in business economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam (1997) and a master’s degree in business administration from IESE Business School in Barcelona (2015).
