JASPER SCHRIJVER

Jasper’s energy comes from an instinctive drive to improve performance and repair something that is broken. Solves strategic challenges in a pragmatic way. He is quick to oversee the playing field, to identify key issues and players, and to act accordingly. He sets the agenda and gets to the point – without the chitchat, but with a human touch. Used to managing multinational operations.

Before founding Brave Capital Solutions, Jasper held various managerial positions at ABN AMRO Bank, including CEO of IFN Group, Deputy Head for the Dutch corporate market, CEO Retail NL and member of the executive committee NL. After leaving ABN AMRO Bank in 2009, he moved into the restructuring market and has since been involved in some 25 turnarounds, predominantly acting as CEO/Managing Director holding end-responsibility. Jasper also acts (mostly at the request of private equity firms and banks) as advisor to the board in complex restructurings. In recent years, his activities have taken place in Europe (mainly in the Dutch and Belgian markets), China, the United States and South America in multiple sectors. Jasper has a master's degree in business economics from the Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam, 1986).

JAN VAN ANDEL

Jan has an eagerness to improve and optimise finance and operations, on the back of robust technical analysis. He is skilled and experienced in unravelling complex financial (credit) issues, assess and improve cashflow forecasting and prepare (financial) reporting in distressed situations. He works in a structured, pragmatic, co-operative manner. Has an eye for detail, but keeps focus on the bigger scope. Builds bridges between stakeholders with conflicting positions.

Jan started his career at a corporate finance boutique, where he was involved in M&A, business valuations and MBOs of midcaps. After a move to Bank of Scotland he focused on arranging, structuring and financing leveraged buy-outs. He took the initiative with three colleagues to establish the Dutch branch of Icelandic bank Landsbanki, and was also responsible for the controlled wind-down thereof - involved in complex (cross-border) restructurings of syndicated loans. Now acts as CFO, or supports CFOs, in restructuring situations. Jan has a master's degree in business economics from Erasmus University (Rotterdam, 1997) and a master's degree in business administration from IESE Business School (Barcelona, 2015).
